A good duct cleaning is thorough, tidy and easy to understand. Here is what happens during one of our appointments.
Before we arrive
Clear a path to each vent and to the furnace or air handler, and let us know about pets. Most single-system homes take two to four hours.
Inspection
We look inside several registers and the plenum and take photos. This tells us how much buildup there is and whether anything needs repair.
Protecting your home
We cover floors in the work areas and seal off the registers we aren't working on, so dust can't escape into the rooms.
Cleaning
A HEPA-filtered vacuum connects to the system and puts it under negative pressure. Rotary brushes and air whips then loosen dust from each supply and return run, and the vacuum pulls it out.
Registers and blower
We clean the vent covers and the blower area. Sanitizing is available if there is an odor problem.
Walkthrough
You see before-and-after photos, and we point out anything worth fixing, such as crushed or disconnected ducts. We recommend putting in a fresh filter right away.
